As we embark on our first serious attempt to take on the Heroic Tank Raid and gather those precious, precious Kenobi shards, we have put together the following strategy, in order to try to maximize our chances of success. This strategy is based off of the "Super Team" strategy, which can be found in this post: dead-man-ewoking.freeforums.net/thread/58/tank-raid-information?page=1&scrollTo=195 and our analysis of the rosters of each of the members of this guild. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THE PURPOSE OF THIS STRATEGY IS TO MAXIMIZE THE CHANCE THAT WE CAN COMPLETE HEROIC AND IS FOR THE GOOD OF THE ENTIRE GUILD. Keeping that in mind, there are a few rules that will be necessary to implement this: 1) Everyone is expected to abide by the strategy. If you have a Jedi team, but are not selected to attack Phase 1, please follow the strategy and send your team at Phase 3. Spreading teams and damage across every phase is critical. 2) We have to avoid over-damage in Phases 1-3. As such, if you are designated to attack a phase, but there is less than 10% health in that phase, please contact an officer before making your attack. If you notice that a phase is under 10% and you haven't seen it posted (including if it is during your run [i.e, it starts at 12% and your attacks are taking it under]), please contact an officer immediately. You can do this by posting to the D-M-E Announcements channel on kik. 3) Try to make some time when you go to do your attack so you can retreat and try again if you get some bad RNG. For each phase, we've identified target goals for various teams -- try to get as close to, or above, that goal, and retreat if necessary to try again. While we understand that people have time constraints, it will help out immensely if you can carve out a small amount of time to try a couple of times if necessary. The target goals are derived from the low end of the expectation in the Super Team strategy, so they should be obtainable. 4) Keep an eye out for announcements from officers. We will make all relevant announcements in both the in-game chat and on the D-M-E Announcements channel on kik. Of course, the way that in-game chat works, it's best to pay attention to the kik channel. If you are not a part of that channel, message any of the officers on kik (see the intro post for our kik IDs) and we make sure you get added. For each of the Phases, I've included links to videos showing common team comps, so you can see the strategies that are often employed. If you have a question regarding team comps or strategies, please just ask! UPDATES: 1) When you complete a run, please take a screenshot of your team/damage. It can be posted to the general announcements channel on chat or here on the forum. This will help us track our damage estimates in case we need to tweak our strategy. 2) For Phases 1 and 2, and the designated teams for Phases 3, when you complete your run, please let us know by posting in both the in-game chat and kik general chat. We will be trying to keep an eye out for completions in the damage totals, but letting us know will make things a little easier on us to determine when to send in the next waves/reinforcements. 3) As Thann says below, the best results will be had when your team is loaded with arena-level mods. This will likely require swapping mods around, but it's a small price to pay (literally -- swapping a full set of 5-dot mods costs less than 25k credits) for a heroic completion. Now on to the strategy:

They should not attack until all of the above have gone. Once everyone above has gone, these people should send their top Jedi team, with a target goal of 2%+ (86K): thesubwaydiet Nodoz Jowest Keberg JSavage fangstar Banef Czech34 Hans Olo Lirok Qualtagh Rick wynterweather Dempsey Wan Kanobe (Second best team obviously) Thann Solaar (Second best team obviously) For members of Wave 2, it is expected that you will take Phase 1 under 10% remaining. As soon as the first person sees it dip under 10% (including if it is during your run [i.e, it starts at 12% and your attacks are taking it under]), please contact an officer immediately. You can do this by posting to the D-M-E Announcements channel on kik. At that point, people should post damage one at a time, to ensure we don't waste teams doing over-damage. Wave 3If Phase 1 is still standing after Wave 2, the following people should send their top Jedi team, with a target goal of 1% (43K): KilKraz laserrays Shankapus Slug Spontiac If everyone hits their target exactly (which again, is meant as a conservative target), that's over 100% right there. If we get to Wave 3, Phase 1 should, based on the target numbers, have less than 10% health. As such, it is very important that members of Wave 3 wait for an officer to send them in. We might go 1 or 2 at a time depending on how close it is.

Phase 2:www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gl6Y8Bl8Ow (Droids) Total Health: 19,200,000 Wave 1The following people should send their droid squads to Phase 2 as soon as it is reached: For 6% Squads, the droid comp (as can be seen in the video above) is HK-47 (L), IG-88, IG-86, Nebit, and JE. For the non-6% squads, try to get as close to that setup as possible.Target: 6% (1,150,000 dmg)Jowest Keberg Rarediel Sean Darrtell thesubwaydiet Xorconn Dempsey Wan Kanobe Target: 3% (576,000 dmg)The Last Stand Thann Solaar Target: 1.5% (288,000 dmg)Breakerfall Dace Joy Ninjasamurai Rick Slug Zerozero Wave 2The following people should send their rebel squads to Phase 2, with a target of 6%, as soon as an officer announces Wave 2: The ideal rebel comp is Wedge (L), Biggs, Leia, Ackbar, Lando. Stormy can work well in place of Ackbar if you don't have him. Ackbar can work in place of Leia. Remember -- massive damage only occurs if you let the top gun fire, so feel free to topple away.Banef Vice Dartimus Nodoz skevikz wynterweather For members of Wave 2, it is expected that you will take Phase 1 under 10% remaining. Wave 3The following people should be prepared to send their rebel squads to Phase 2, with a target of 1%, if an officer sends them. NOTE: If we reach Wave 3, it is likely that people will be sent one at a time, depending on their availability. If we finish Wave 2 with more than 5% of the Phase remaining, the officers will re-evaluate to determine if we need to send a stronger squad before going to Wave 3.

Phase 3:www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNvRNj6LlEo (Chirpatine) www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4TwNLYWd3c (Jawas, STHan, GS) www.youtube.com/watch?v=J89goWEvncU (Jawas, Ugnaught, Fives) www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGC76nm38Ls (Palp, TFP, Tanks) Total Health: 12,000,000 This is the Phase everyone has been waiting for! In this Phase, we are going to ask certain people to send specific teams, but everyone else can send TWO teams of their choosing, with a limited exception: DO NOT SEND ANY REBEL OR CLONES TEAMS (if your only clone is fives, you can use him in this phase, but if you have a clone team, don't send them here). Rebels and Clones are killer teams in Phase 4, and we will need them there. It is recommended to use Dathcha as a leader if you have him (defense down and a chance to remove TM with every attack). Also, remember that you can play around with team comps using Airplane Mode. Just enter the Phase with a team, turn your phone or tablet on airplane mode, and you can experiment to see how different teams work. You won't be able to see a damage total, but if you pay attention to the percentage the boss starts at and the percentage when you are just about finished, you'll get a gauge. In this phase, 1% is 120,000 damage. You can then simply force quit the app, turn airplane mode off and then go back in. If you have a great run that you decide you want to register as your team for the phase, don't force quit, turn airplane mode off and then finish. Because we are not using the wave strategy, this Phase will also have a special rule: As soon as the first person sees it dip under 20% (including if it is during your run [i.e, it starts at 22% and your attacks are taking it under]), please contact an officer immediately. You can do this by posting to the D-M-E Announcements channel on kik. At that point, no one should send teams or post damage. That's right -- in this phase, the threshold is 20% not 10%. Why? Because we want to make sure that all the people with assigned teams have registered damage (as they are likely to be able to contribute more damage than other teams), but instead of delaying everyone else until they've gone, it's better to just call pause earlier. Designated TeamsFor Jawas, if you don't send a droid squad in P2, and can send a full five Jawa team, that works incredibly well. If you did send a droid squad (and therefore don't have Nebit or JE available), Dathcha, Jawa, JS, Tank, and DPS comps work -- the video above shows with stormy and GS, but other combos, like RG and Rey, can work wonders as well. Sean Darrtell - Chirpatine (or Teebotine if Chirpa is not yet 7*) Qualtagh - Palp, RG, Stormy, Chewie, Daka Paulando - Chirpatine (or Teebotine if Chirpa is not yet 7*) Jowest Keberg - Jawas Indominable J - Jawas thesubwaydiet - Jawas skevikz - Jawas Paulando - Jawas (yes, Paul will have two assigned teams in this phase) Nodoz - Jawas Xorconn - Jawas Czech34 - Jawas JSavage - Jawas Dempsey Wan Kanobe (Chirpatine) Dempsey Wan Kanobe (Jawas) For those listed above who will not have a full Jawa team available for Phase 3 (because you used some in Phase 2 or one or more isn't ready), if you need help coming up with a team comp, just ask!

Phase 4:www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vsA5452Ozo (rebels, no topple) www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lLxbzNmgiA (full clones) www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTPZf4i5h54 (Wiggs, Ackbar, Lando, Phasma) Total Health: 12,000,000 Rebels and clones are the best teams here -- for clones, the video shows a Cody lead. For rebels, it's back to Wiggs, Lando, Leia, Ackbar (or whomever your fifth is). If you don't have Leia, or a reliable group buffer left, don't topple the tank. You can still do a ton of damage without toppling.
Ok, this is easy -- send whatever you have left as soon as you can. Pretty much the only rule here is that we ask you send your teams as soon as possible. When your roster is spent, please let an officer know. The best way to do this is by posting to the General Chat on kik. Why does this matter? Because if we come up a little short, but have time left, we can try to get a mercenary to come finish the raid for us.

The above strategy relies primarily on using the "canonical" teams to complete each phase -- i.e. the right toons at the right strength in the right squad that, according to the current collective consciousness on the EA forums, will do the most damage in that phase. The goal of course is to make sure we have enough of those teams to complete the phase, so that other players can save their rosters for the phase(s) where they'll do the most damage. This is why you may not see your name in one or more of the phases above (e.g. I'm not in the P3 list). This simply means that you may lack the canonical team to hit that phase and we want you to save your strength for the other phases. However, it's entirely possible that our damage estimates for a given phase will fall short, at which point we'll be asking some or all of you to send extra squads to finish off the phase. Obviously we can only do this as a last resort or we'll quickly run out of juice and stall out for good. The moral: Even if you're not called out explicitly in a given phase you may still be called upon to serve, so keep an eye on the Kik channel! Regarding your teams: Now is the time to put any finishing touches on your star teams! Our whole strategy is relying on the (proven) premise that having one team that does 3% is better than two that can do 1.5% each so as you come across good gear and mods make sure your existing teams get all the love. Once we have that all-important first raid under our belt, normal life can resume And speaking of mods: Please keep in mind that for this first raid it would be a perfectly good personal strategy to swap your gem mods to your star squads, and even swap them to your *next* squad when you're done with a phase if you need to. To help with the mod wrangling, you can refer to this excellent post that details how to mod every toon in the game (no, really!) and also keep in mind that swgoh.gg has a fantastic tool to search the mods you have equipped on all your toons. One last thing: We are going to attempt this when the current Normal raid is finished -- so likely some time this weekend. Because Heroic raids are timed to 48 hours max, and because we have no idea how quickly or slowly things will unfold, we ask that you either be present and actively monitor the Kik channel so you're ready to jump in when the time comes, or else please let us know now if you won't be able to participate so we can make appropriate adjustments to the strategy. We need everyone on deck for this first attempt, and this is your chance to be a part of this historical turning point in our guild's history!

We are looking at launching the raid at 11 am EST on Saturday. If you are scheduled for Phase 1, please let us if you would not be available then.
