Intro
Chex Mix is the most complex raid team to run, but at the same time it's also the most well-defined. There's no guesswork involved; just a simple list of things to do. However that list is longish and must be followed exactly, so this guide is aiming to be a helpful reference for a successful run.
In a nutshell, this team revolves around a single one-time event: OG Han using Stand Alone (the P3 Phase Ability) to deal a crapload of damage. Everything that happens before that is crucial setup for Han's big move; everything that happens after is mostly inconsequential since the bulk of your run's damage will already have been done.
The Stand Alone P3 Phase Ability
You can easily read the whole description of this ability's effects, but for our purposes let's just say that the beneficiary gains the offense of all attackers on the team (which is why you want a team of 5 attackers) for 3 turns, during which the rest of your toons just stand by and watch. Han uses this ability to boost his damage output by a factor of 10, which should mean a ~2M final score (5% ish).
Another thing to note is that Sabers with a given buff always give the same debuff:
Retribution => Daze
Foresight => Abi Block
Advantage => Stagger
This is why some of these are called out in the strategy list below.
(Not that this matters in a practical sense to us mere mortals, but for the sake of completeness of information: the sabers have 270 speed )
The Team
By and large the team is set in stone. There are a few possible variations but it's important to know that they are all sub-par for one reason or another and using these variations will negatively impact your score so shooting for the right toons is a good idea.
The Gear
While the list of toons above ("Wait... Pao? PAO?!?") may look a bit discouraging, and it may be tempting to say "Screw it, I'll just use a third-best toon instead", there is some good news when it comes to gear (and mods, described in a later section). Because this team doesn't need to be long-lived and you basically have 4 toons supporting the one damage dealer, you can get away with very modest gear on them. The only real requirement is that they need enough gear to survive until Han is done with Stand Alone.
Clearly, higher gear is better since (among other obvious benefits) it boosts your toons' offense which allows Han to deal more damage. But here is the minimum:
The Abilities
Here as well, more is better but here is the minimum:
The Mods
Speeds:
The Traya boss has 180 speed in Heroic P3. Because you want your toons to go in a very specific order, the required speeds work out to this:
So in short: Chirrut / Pao / Luke > Traya > DT > Han
If you run DT or Han in arena you may need to remod them for this run to ensure their speeds are just right, which is a pain; however it would be very difficult to make this team work without the above.
Do whatever you need to get the speeds as described above. Beyond that, your toons' mods should prioritize Offense: if you don't have Offense sets try to at least use Offense-primary Cross/Triangle/Arrow where you can and definitely maximize offense secondaries. The exception is Han where you want a standard CC/CD set with CD triangle, offense cross and as much offense secondaries as possible.
Remember, Han gains all the other toons' Offense so maximizing this by every means possible is important!
The Strategy
Many things can derail a Chex Mix run so mentally prepare yourself for having to restart several times until everything falls into place. This is unavoidable so might as well come to terms with it now.
Save yourself a million more restarts and use this as your first P3 team (if you're gonna run more than one ofc). Giving Traya tm by running something else first will mess things up so bad you may not be able to make it work at all.
Here is the exact sequence of events that you need to set up from the start of the battle. If anything happens to derail this (see the Loss Conditions section below) you will not be able to recover and will need to restart your run.
Loss Conditions
If any of these things happen, you need to restart. Nothin' for it, so suck it up.
So there you have it. Typing "sith heroic chex mix" in a YouTube search box will get a bunch of vids but be aware that this guide contains information gleaned from all available sources and the vids may either not make use of everything we outline here and in some cases can actually contain completely absurd advice (like trying to apply Deathmark with no dead sabers and complaining that it "doesn't always stick"). If you do want to see it in action the seminal vid still remains McMole2's (sorry Khorvog!).
As always, the officers are happy to help anyone with questions on this and other teams.
Cheers,

By and large the team is set in stone. There are a few possible variations but it's important to know that they are all sub-par for one reason or another and using these variations will negatively impact your score so shooting for the right toons is a good idea.
- OG Han and Death Trooper are must-haves. This won't work without them, period.
- CLS lead is necessary as well. In addition to being an attacker his lead gives +50% counter chance to Han along with additional offense.
- Offense-Up toon. Pao is the best choice by far. JKA will do in a pinch but be prepared for more retries since his Offense Up is flaky at best. All other options, not being attackers, are distant thirds and will impact your final score. But if you absolutely must, those options include Palp, Shaman, Poggle and QGJ.
- Tenacity Up toon. Chirrut is the best choice by far. The only other option is Rex, but since he's not an attacker your score will suffer.
The Gear
While the list of toons above ("Wait... Pao? PAO?!?") may look a bit discouraging, and it may be tempting to say "Screw it, I'll just use a third-best toon instead", there is some good news when it comes to gear (and mods, described in a later section). Clearly, higher gear is better since (among other obvious benefits) it boosts your toons' offense which allows Han to deal more damage. But here is the minimum:
- CLS: G8 or better should be enough.
- Chirrut: G8 or better since he heals constantly.
- Pao: G8 or better.
- Death Trooper: G8 or better.
- Han: This one should be as high a gear as you can manage. He needs the extra damage from high gear, but more importantly he needs the hp to survive the constant attacks he'll be eating during Stand Alone. I doubt anything below G10 will work, and higher is better. Ofc he's an all-around king toon so whatever you invest here will serve you everywhere in the game.
The Abilities
Here as well, more is better but here is the minimum:
- Han: Omega on his basic -- and a zeta is highly recommended (it's probably the absolute best bang for your hard-earned zetas in the whole game anyway so don't sweat giving him the purples)
- DT: Omega on Terminate is necessary. No zeta needed.
- Chirrut (Rex): No omegas necessary.
- Pao (JKA): No omegas necessary.
- Luke: No omegas or zetas necessary.
The Mods
Speeds:
The Traya boss has 180 speed in Heroic P3. Because you want your toons to go in a very specific order, the required speeds work out to this:
- Chirrut (Rex): Above 180. Can be as fast as you want.
- Pao (JKA): Above 180. Can be as fast as you want.
- Luke: Above 180. Can be as fast as you want.
- Death Trooper: 179 or slower (but not too slow).
- Han: Slower than DT (but not by much; he only needs one speed less than DT).
So in short: Chirrut / Pao / Luke > Traya > DT > Han
If you run DT or Han in arena you may need to remod them for this run to ensure their speeds are just right, which is a pain; however it would be very difficult to make this team work without the above.

Here is the exact sequence of events that you need to set up from the start of the battle. If anything happens to derail this (see the Loss Conditions section below) you will not be able to recover and will need to restart your run.
- If more than one saber has Retribution when the fight starts, restart.
- Han shoots first, obviously. Pick a Saber and hit it -- preferably one with Advantage, and definitely NOT one with Retribution. Hopefully the saber dies but if it doesn't Luke can finish it on his first turn.
- Chirrut and Pao will go next, in whatever order your speed mods decided. Use Chirrut's As The Force Wills (or Rex' Squad Discipline) to Tenacity Up everyone and Pao's Sa'Kalla! (or JKA's Reckless Assault) to Offense Up everyone.
- Luke will also get a turn at some point. Hit a saber, and make sure one dies. This is critical for Deathmark to stick later.
- Once all 3 have gone, Traya and the remaining sabers will get their turn. Grin and bear it.
- If Han is the happy recipient of Traya's Isolate, restart. (Any other toon is fine.)
- DT is next; use Terminate to apply Deathmark.
- Now Han get a turn and it's the Big One: Use Stand Alone (the phase ability), which will give you 100% tm so you can go again. Start wailing on Traya! He can easily be 100-150K during this.
- Use only basic attacks during Stand Alone. Using Deadeye would give Han too much tm; you want his Stand Alone stint to last for as long as possible. It may also be tempting to use Never Tell Me The Odds here (and indeed most videos show that people do it), but that also gives tm to Han and it's been determined that using basics yields more damage overall.
- After Han comes out of Stand Alone, just zerg it as best you can until everyone dies. Go for topples for maximum damage.
- Collect your millions of points and enjoy the soon-to-come Traya shards.
Loss Conditions
If any of these things happen, you need to restart. Nothin' for it, so suck it up.
- More than one saber has Retribution
- Chirrut or Pao get abi blocked before Han's big move
- Han is debuffed before Chirrut can give him Tenacity Up
- All 3 sabers are still alive by the time DT is ready to apply Deathmark
- Han gets Isolated by Traya in her opening moves (any other toon is fine)
- If using JKA, he fails to apply Offense Up with Reckless Assault (50% chance, which is why Pao is so much better)
- Traya dodges the deathmark attack
